In the last 4 years El Centro ABEM has gone
from an empty piece of ground to a developed
ministry center that is worth more than $1
million dollars and debt free!  Just imagine if
the Lord put this center in your hands....what

Completion of large kitchen /
dining hall.  It holds 100+ people,
has 2 bathrooms, lots of counter
space and commercial size
appliances!  It is top of the line!
Completion of the "Theological
Training Center" building.  It has
an air conditioned conference
room, classrooms, storage rooms
and a library.
Picnic shelters at  pool,  some
sidewalks and landscaping in
other parts of camp and paved
parking area and welcome office
completed.  Regulation size
baseball field, softball field, and
soccer field graded and ready for
use.  Sand Volley ball court built
Gated and paved entrance with
guard building, 900 meters of high
voltage wire run underground to
feed camp, transformer/ electric
panel building,  Olympic size
swimming pool, duplex cabin with
bathrooms and showers that
houses 16 people per side.
Purchased and paid in full 160
acres of land 8 miles to the west
of Managua, Nicaragua to develop
a camp/outreach/training center
for the people, churches and
pastors of Nicaragua.
Large donation given to fund the
building of a shower house, 5
small duplex cabins (6 people per
side).  Money also given to finish
dining hall, furnish cabins and
supplement monthly operational
expenses for six months.

El Centro ABEM
We want to carry on the vision that was started by ABWE missionaries Bev and
Larry Smith in December 2002.

This vision was to develop just 8 miles west of Managua an incredible ministry
center in Nicaragua.  This vision included a master plan of several cabins housing
32 people each, an olympic size swimming pool, a theological training center,
several family cabins for retreats, a large multipurpose building for outreach
events, a large kitchen dining hall, and great sports fields.

The purpose behind the vision is even greater.  The purpose is to see God glorified
as souls are saved, national pastors are trained, churches are planted and
believers are discipled through the use of such a facility.

In March 2007 (6 months prior to our arrival) we  received news that due to age
and medical reasons Larry and Bev will not be returning to Nicaragua from the
States.  It is our desire to see their dreams live on through us as we strive to carry
the vision they had for the mission field of Nicaragua.
What this means....
We need people to catch the vision!  We need people to partner with
us!  We need financial support to help us pay for the monthly
operational costs of these facilities.  We need prayer support.  We need
teams of people that are willing to give up vacation time and take a
short term missions trip.  We need monetary gifts...It requires hundreds
of thousands of dollars to build some of the things we have in mind, and
the fact is...it requires people being willing to give it.

God has provided so far as we have seen Larry Smith in 4 years build a
facility that most couldn't build in 20.  To continue this vision will require
